  1. There has to be feasibility details with marketing statistics

  2. Also scope of joint ventures should be given prime focus

  3. Studies made on prices of new fibre or yarn visa vis. Existing should be given

  4. Government must facilitate testing in India at par with EU & USA

  5. Why more economy of scale using indigenous fibres, like jute having excellent eco-friendly features and 50% of world production in India is targeted and not referred too!

Our country has a large potential to produce and develop technical textiles for different applications.  Of course, we are developing a big amount of Technical Textile products but keeping in view requirements of our overseas buyers and not for our country for simple reason of no awareness and stringent regulations for safety and protective standards.  This workshop on protective textiles organized jointly by Textile Commissioner’s Office and ATIRA is a good and appreciable initiative to create awareness and encouraging domestic manufacturers to come forward to cater to the need of our country.

  1. Over all good attempt to bring upon awareness among manufacturers to come forward to technical textiles/protective textiles.  But  Workshop lacked  Detailing of  manufacturing process.

  2. In-depth process details for spinning., Weaving Processing of protective material was required.

  3. Testing Needs: Detailing was more than required and this could have been taken up in later stage when specific manufacturers looks for it.
