Ginning Service Centre

To set facilities for testing of kapas and Cotton lint and critical part of the machinery used in the ginning and pressing factories of Gujarat.

To prepare training manually / material including do’s and donts for the ginning industry

To prepare audio visual aids like slides,  photographic, and video  cossets  for workers, operators and supervisory  staff.

To improve work  practices/ culture by educating the persons working in ginning.

ATIRA Ginning Service Center (sponsored by Govt. of Gujarat) has been providing various services in order to enhance the health  and wealth of the Ginning industry by following ways:

1. Improving ginning productivity. 

2. Improving  quality of cotton in terms of fibre rupture, neps  and contamination including trash content.

3. Improving  cotton realization. 

4. Cotton testing on modern instruments in NABL accredited laboratory. 

5. Guidance to ginning units being modernized under Technology Mission on Cotton (TMC)
   Scheme, Govt. of India. 

6. Saving in power consumption. 

7. Educating ginning people i.e. owners, managers, fitters/ helpers etc.

8. Encouraging the industry to capture the export market.

9. Selection/certification of cotton bales for Indian as well as abroad textile mills.

10. Establishing Educational Diploma course on ‘Ginning Technology’.

In order to achieve above, the center helps to the ginners in modernizing their units, imparting training, auditing ginning machinery, optimization of parameters, modifications to the process and solving techno-managerial problems.
