ATIRA has started testing of Water/Wastewater for Bioassay (Fish Toxicity) by following methods:-

1. Fish Toxicity by APHA Method (8910C) : short term tests (24-96h).
   [Freshwater fish, small species less than 5g body weight].

2. Bioassay Methods for evaluating Acute Toxicity of Industrial Effluents and  Wastewater.
   IS: 6582 – 1971.

ATIRA has also started testing of Antimicrobial Testing of Textiles by following methods:-

1. Antibacterial Activity Assessment of Textile Materials :
   Parallel Streak Method [AATCC- 147-2004].

2. Antibacterial Finishes Assessment of Textile Materials 
   [AATCC -100-2004].

3. Antifungal Activity, Assessment on Textile Materials:
   Mildew and Rot Resistance of Textile Materials [AATCC-30-2004].

4. Determining the Antimicrobial Activity of Immobilized Antimicrobial Agents 
   under Dynamic Contact Conditions. [ASTM-E-2149-01].

5. Bioburden Testing of the Textile as per USP, BP, IP.

Possible clients:

Manufacturers of antimicrobial fabrics, surgical cotton,  gauze, disposable masks, gloves etc. for hospital use.
